About Us

Shraadh Pindadaan or Death Anniversary rituals is the responsibility of the heirs of the deceased as to  show the adorance to the departed soul.

Shradh in Hindu rituals

Shraaddha is a word derived from Sanskrit. It is a lovely ritual to show our adorance to our departed souls. It is a way to show the heartfelt gratitude to one’s parents for their eternal peace in heaven.

After the death of one’s father or/and mother, this ritual is performed on their respective ‘tithi’ according to the Hindu calendar every year.

Shradh Pindadaan

Shraaddha or Pindadaan is such a tradition which should be done by NOON on the day of death anniversary. But unfortunately the persons who live abroad are unable to perform as the time does not coincide and more over their professional work does not permit them to do it properly.

Every Hindu family

This tradition is followed in every Hindu family. The custom differs from place to place based on community and language. In past people performed it at their home on the death anniversary every year according to the Tithi on the Hindu calendar.

As a Hindu son Daughterwe know that we have to perform 3 Shradh has in a year if our parents are no more.

It is the eternal duty of offspring to observe this ritual 3 times a year:

The date of one’s father’s demise according to the Hindu Calendar.

The date of one’s mother’s demise according to the Hindu Calendar.

It is done during ‘Durga Puja’ which is also called ‘Pitru Pakhya’. The day may be selected by the Karta(The one who is doing the puja).
